FNF: D-Sides is a mod that completely reimagines Friday Night Funkin’ in a very unique way: instead of bringing totally new opponents, it takes what you already know and rebuilds it from scratch. Characters have been redesigned, music remixed, and note charts changed quite a bit.
What changes in FNF: D-Sides?
The most notable aspect of D-Sides is how it transforms familiar content into a fresh version. Characters such as Dad, the Spooky Kids, Pico, Mom, the Christmas parents, and Spirit all appear with unique designs.
The music has also been reworked rather than simplyusing the originals. While the songs retain enough of their familiar structure for players to recognize them, the melodies, rhythms, and note arrangements have been changed.

A journey through 7 weeks
Story Mode takes you through 7 weeks in sequence. Each week features a specific set of opponents and a unique tracklist, with the difficulty increasing progressively.
Notable tracks include Bopeebo, Fresh, Dadbattle, Senpai, Roses, and Thorns. The tutorial is the most accessible stage, whereas later levels demand better reflexes due to the rewritten note charts.

Characters: familiar yet new
D-Sides does not introduce an entirely new cast of characters. Instead, the mod focuses on reimagining the faces that already appeared in Friday Night Funkin'.

- Spooky Kids: the familiar duo gets its own D-Sides version.
- Pico: Continues to feature in the journey with a new design. Mom: Included in the list of characters receiving a redesign.

D-Sides features 17 songs spanning 7 weeks. The music is built upon familiar tracks but does not retain the original arrangements or note charts.
