About Friday Night Funkin’ Meet Nikusa
Friday Night Funkin' Meet Nikusa, three girls, one hot spring, six songs, and not a single drop of blood. This is the most relaxing mod ever from FNF.
Storyline
There's no villain, no curse, and nobody gets swallowed into another dimension. Meet Nikusa opens with an utterly ordinary trip: Reina and Aori head to an onsen to unwind after a long stretch of days. Amid the rising steam of the hot spring, they cross paths with Nikusa, a character already familiar to FNF fans from the mod Entity, where she plays the imposing "Void Queen."
Here, though, Nikusa doesn't show up to threaten anyone. The three of them share the same pool of water, and instead of making small talk the normal way, they get acquainted the FNF way: by singing at each other. There's no bitter rap battle, no relentless, breath-stealing rhythm; everything flows as gently as the warm water surrounding them. It's practically a rare "slice of life" moment in the FNF mod universe, a scene where most of the space is usually reserved for life-or-death showdowns.
What's New in the Tracklist?
The demo's six songs carry oddly unfamiliar names, breaking away from the usual naming formula seen in mods like "Tricky - Tricky Song 1, 2, 3":
- Meetisen, the opener, true to its name, marks the moment the three characters first fall into rhythm together.
- Guesolian is slightly more driving than the first track, as if the group were warming up before the real challenge begins.
- Other View, a shift in perspective, carries a different color from the previous two and injects some freshness midway through the demo.
- Wombo Rombo, a playful-sounding name matched by an equally free-spirited melody.
- OnsentestVoiceUpdate, a leftover voice-test track kept in the final release, is an intriguing little trace of the mod's development process.
- Extreme Relax, the closer, lives up to its name by pushing the laid-back vibe to its peak, wrapping up the demo with a sense of relief rather than tension.
The biggest difference from most mods of its era isn't difficulty, it's the musical color. The melodies are soft, light on harsh sound design, and better suited for a relaxed listen than for flexing key-pressing skills.

Main Characters
Nikusa is the mod's most striking face, inheriting her design from FNF: Entity, a tall figure with pure white skin, eyes that shift from pink to orange, and long white hair with a deep pink undertone near the roots. In the onsen setting, her design is adapted accordingly: her lower body is hidden beneath the water, and her hair looks messier from soaking in the heat for so long.
Reina is the character the player directly controls. Her look shares similarities with Nikusa but is smaller in scale, with burgundy eyes and light purple-toned hair that set her clearly apart.
Aori appears as a guest character, originating from a mod of the same name. Her standout feature is a humanoid-candle design, complete with a small pink flame burning atop her head — a distinctive touch rarely seen among FNF characters.
Gameplay
At its core, Meet Nikusa doesn't break away from FNF's original gameplay formula: players use the arrow keys (or WASD) to hit notes as they reach the judgement line at the top of the screen, matching the sung lines of the character on the right side. Enter starts or pauses the match, while Space skips cutscenes for players who want to jump straight into the action.
Worth noting: despite the relaxed overall atmosphere, the demo isn't exactly a walk in the park—new players are better off starting on Easy mode to get a feel for the rhythm before pushing into harder difficulties.
